Ever wanted to restart your computer fast in Windows XP, without actually restarting? For instance, if your computer hangs, or when you try to delete something, it says its in use. Well there is a way to do this, and its not very hard at all.
To do this, press ‘Ctrl + Alt + Delete’ on your keyboard. Then click on the ‘Processes’ tab. From here, find the process called ‘explorer.exe’ and click on ‘End Process.’ Don’t freak out if everything disappears. This is normal. To fix this, just click on ‘File -> New Task -> and type in ‘explorer.exe.’ This will make everything pop back up.
You have just restarted your computer, and everything should be perfectly fine now. At least I hope. But if it’s a big problem, don’t follow this, shutdown Microsoft Windows XP and start it back up!
