Make Windows XP Faster
Is Microsoft Windows XP a little slow, or do you want it faster? With this easy little tutorial, you can have it done in minutes!
Go to
Start -> Right Click on My Computer
Then select ‘Properties’ on My Computer. After a small window opens, click the tab that says ‘Advanced.’ In the little ‘Performance’ box, click on ‘Settings.’ Now disable everything but these:
• ‘Fade or slide Tool Tips into view’
• ‘Fade out menu items after clicking’
• ‘Show shadows under menus’
• ‘Slide open combo boxes’
• ‘Slide task bar buttons’
• ‘Use a background image for each folder type’
• ‘Use common tasks in folders’
Now your Windows should be working faster!
Or, you could do this:
Go to
Start -> Right Click on My Computer
Now click on ‘Properties.’ When the window opens up, click the ‘Advanced’ tab, and then click on ‘Settings’ in the ‘Performance’ box. Then just click on the bubble next to ‘Adjust for best performance.’ There you go, I hope Windows XP is faster for you, and if not, then just do this process backwards to fix it!
