Internet Problems?
Many people are having problems accessing secure websites in Microsoft Windows XP. For example, accessing Windows Update and updates for your Anti-virus software. To fix this go to Start -> My Computer -> C: (if that is your hard drive’s location) -> Windows -> System32 -> Drivers -> etc. Find the file that is called ‘hosts’ and open it with notepad. Then delete all the entries below ‘127.0.0.1 localhost.’ Then save the ‘hosts’ file and close it.
You might need to restart your computer to take effect. This is the fastest fix and it can speed up your navigation in Windows XP!
