Defragging Your Drive Faster

Defragging your hard drive can take minutes, even hours in Microsoft Windows XP. Using this method, it can speed it up and have it done faster!
Why is this method faster? Well it doesn’t go through all your commonly used programs and boot files. Instead, it pushes them to the edge of your hard drive.
To do this, go to

Start -> Run

In the Run box, type in

cmd

Now a bigger box opened up. Just type in

defrag c: -b

This will start the defrag. The ‘C:’ is your hard drive’s location, and the ‘-b’ is to force it to the defrag process faster in Windows XP.
