1 Way to Have a Faster Startup
There is one way that works for sure, that will speed up your Windows XP startup times! It only takes a few seconds to speed it up.
Go to Start -> Run -> type in ‘msconfig’ without the quotes. Now a window will pop up. Do no edit, or change anything in here unless it is what I tell you, or else you can mess up your startup! Now click on the ‘Startup’ tab. Some people, that don’t use any anti-virus software or firewalls, they take the check mark out of all the boxes. But if you want to run your anti-virus, or any other program at startup, check the box. But for the rest, you can uncheck them. But only do this in the Windows XP Startup tab, don’t mess with the Services, unless you know what all the services are, and do not mess with anything else.
